Kathy Hodges,  RDH

"Working with family", is the feeling Dr. Steinberg describes when he is asked about Kathy.  For the last ten years Kathy has served our patients in the dental hygiene department. Her hygiene skills are exceptional and she continually strives to educate and provide our patients with the finest dentistry has to offer. As a true extension of Dr. Steinberg’s commitment to technical excellence, Kathys gentle patient care is evidenced by the number of clients who prebook multiple appointments to ensure they will see her when next appointed. This fact is true now more than ever since Kathy has semi-retired and as of January 2000 is only practicing the art of dental hygiene on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  

Kathy was raised in Mulshoe, Texas, and received her Dental Hygiene degree from Amarillo College in 1988.  After her relocation to the big city of Austin, she became our full time hygienist in May of 1990. Since joining our dental family, we have shared many happy times with Kathy.  First was her marriage to Randy Hodges, who in his own right has become an extended member of our team in the maintenance and expansion of our computer system through his company, HK Computers. Second was the birth of her daughter, Lindsey, 8, who is simply adorable and whose sleep overs with Denise and Dr. Steinberg provide happy times of their own.  Last, but certainly not least, is Randy’s 15 year old son, Randy Jr., who is sweet, well-mannered, an avid paint ball enthusiast and a tremendous help to us each year during our Giving of Thanks Open House for our patients.

On a personal note, now that Kathy is working part time, her interests and family have expanded in an equine direction. Three horses have been welcomed into the family and equestrian training is underway!
